Klarälven bike trail

The river Klarälven, 500 km long (270 of them in Värmland), is one of the longest rivers in Scandinavia. Racing over rapids or stretching indolently across wide expanses, the river flows among ever changing countryside down to lake Vänern. In former times, pilgrims followed the river north to King Olav's tomb in Nidaros (now Trondheim) in Norway. In five days you will bike the trail from North to South along the Klarälven. Starting at Sysslebäck, passing Ransby Kulturby you will bike to Stöllet, Ekshärad and continue your ride on the 90km carfree Klarälvsbanan from Råda, Ransäter to the endpoint Karlstad.
